May 22, 2026

On May 20–21, 2026, MicroTech Medical welcomed endocrinology specialists from Europe, Asia, and emerging healthcare markets to Hangzhou, China, for the 2026 MicroTech International Academic Exchange Conference. The two-day program brought together international clinical experts for academic exchange, technology exploration, and discussions on the future of diabetes management.

As diabetes continues to present a growing global health challenge, the need for more effective, accessible, and patient-centered management solutions remains a shared priority across healthcare systems worldwide. The conference provided a platform for dialogue around innovation, clinical application, and long-term diabetes care.

During the first day of the program, the visiting delegation toured MicroTech Medical’s research, development, and manufacturing facilities, gaining first-hand insight into the company’s integrated innovation and production capabilities.

At the product showcase, experts explored MicroTech’s key diabetes management solutions, including the Equil Patch Insulin Pump, LinX Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System, and MicroTech’s closed-loop diabetes management technologies. Discussions focused on how precision, usability, and connected care can help improve long-term disease management and enhance the patient experience.

Beyond product innovation, the visit also provided an opportunity for experts to better understand the full pathway from research and development to manufacturing and real-world application. Through on-site exchange and direct observation, the delegation gained deeper insight into MicroTech’s approach to innovation, quality, and clinical relevance.

On the second day, MicroTech Medical accompanied the delegation to The Second Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, where endocrinology specialists and clinical teams exchanged perspectives on diabetes treatment strategies and real-world patient management.

During the academic exchange, the hospital’s clinical experts shared practical experience and presented clinical applications of MicroTech’s artificial pancreas and closed-loop diabetes management solutions. Discussions highlighted how integrated insulin delivery and glucose monitoring technologies can support improved glycemic stability, treatment efficiency, and patient adherence in diabetes care.

As part of the hospital visit, international experts also had hands-on experience with the Equil Patch Insulin Pump, gaining a closer understanding of its lightweight design, patch-based wearability, and ease of operation. Many participants recognized the value of patient-centered design in supporting long-term diabetes management and expanding access to practical treatment solutions across diverse healthcare settings.

The conference reflected MicroTech Medical’s continued commitment to international academic exchange and cross-border healthcare collaboration. By connecting product innovation, clinical practice, and global dialogue, MicroTech aims to contribute to more intelligent, accessible, and patient-focused diabetes management worldwide.
